Greg Allen was born in Calgary in 1964. He studied graphic design and illustration at the Alberta College of Art and Design, and graduated with a diploma of Visual Communications. In 1986, Greg moved to Vancouver, where he has worked as a Designer and Art Director for a wide variety of companies including CKVU Television, Global Television, Electronic Arts, The CBC and The Vancouver Canucks.

Until 2011, Greg’s paintings and prints were only exhibited and sold privately. He works in a variety of mediums including acrylic, watercolour, woodcut, and linocut printing. He is currently working on a number of children’s books, while continuing to paint the coastal landscapes that inspire him so much.
